Business Reviews

Smithfield City (Bart Caley) - RDA funds are still available through May. You have to be the owner of the property and it is earmarked for the area between Main Street and 4th North. Also, people should be aware that minutes of public meetings are read and considered in planning and zoning decisions.

Birch Creek Elementary (John Anderson) - Parent Teacher Conferences are this week for all elementary schools. Winter illnesses are peaking. Schools are busy!

Smithfield Parks and Rec (Brett Daniels) - Thanks to the Chamber and business members for support and sponsorships of events and venues. We are adding 8 Pickleball courts and expanding grass fields at Forrester Acres. Looking forward to adding leagues and events.

USU Credit Union (Rylie Morrison) - Attending first meeting today and excited to get involved.

Schreibers (Scott Nelson) - Still making cheese!

Lee’s Marketplace and Ace Hardware (Casey Crosby) - Case lot sale is coming up. Watch your basement - Ace is seeing reports of flooding.

McDonalds (Bill Peterson) - It’s Bacon Event time! Come get your Cheesy Bacon Fries - best when fries are fresh and cheese is hot and melted. Also looking forward to their Doughnut Sticks for breakfast. Bill attended the Logan City Council meeting where they discussed a potential plastic bag ban. Bill wondered what the repercussions for the rest of the valley would be if Logan City enacted a ban without a buy-in from other municipalities. Bart confirmed that Smithfield City has not been approached in regards to this.

Family Place (Wendi Coombs) - Family Place recently sold out their Princess Party for the first time. Now gearing up for their Silent Auction, which is scheduled for April 26th. If you would like to donate an item, please let her know.

Sky View High School (Mike Monson) - Thanks to all local businesses for their help and support. Looking forward to being involved in the Chamber. Come support the school musical - Tuck Everlasting.

Cox Data Systems (Dale Cox) - Specializes in sales, service, maintenance and repair of computer systems. Give him a call!

Alpine Cleaning and Restoration (Wayne Moore) - Specializes in fire, water, wind and mold cleanups. Still in what they consider to be fire season. Watch for flood season to begin. Wayne can come and give a free estimate.
