Business Introductions and Reviews

Sky View High School - Lots of activities - sports, plays, music, debate. Come support our students!

Preston Watts - Don’t crash your car! But, if you do, come see them. Also, know that you can choose where to go for repairs so tell your insurance company that you want to use a local company like Preston Watts.

Smithfield Rec Center - Lots of events. Turkey Trot is next month. Top of Utah Basketball Tournament and a Basketball Camp will be in October. Trick or Treat Street is October 22nd - contact Richard soon if you need a door. If you want to put any goodies in their goody bags for race or tournament participants let him know.

Lee’s Marketplace - Will be doing two weeks of daily deals soon - including turkey steaks and cheese. Lots of good fall bakery items as well.

Smithfield Firehouse - New menu with lots of new items (two new salads, pastas, pizzas and breads). Almond Joy skookie this month. Finally starting to get fully staffed.

Gibbons Accounting - Been involved with Smithfield business community for 30 years - part of something special!

Stapley Accounting - Call them for tax, accounting or payroll needs!

Birch Creek Elementary - Elementary schools are looking to hire for after school programs - great for busy teens. Covid numbers starting to trickle down a bit.

Family Place - Had drive-thru Marvelous Adventure - served over 100 kids. Thanks to those who sponsored! Family Place is only children’s shelter in Northern Utah - expanding and always in need. If you are looking for a place to donate time and resources, think of them. Looking forward to Equine Therapy places - check their website for details.

State Farm - Auto rates are amazing right now - give him a call for a quote. Also know that while corporate will often try to steer you to a specific service vendor, local agents will help you stay local. Thanks to everyone for their support.

TNT Engraving - Brought treats and samples of their work. Think of them for any plaques, awards, badges or other engraving needs.

Larsen’s Mercantile - They have a booth at the Parade of Homes. They are serving lunch every day. Still doing baked goods, pies, and take and bake meals, as well as home decor and other items from their vendors.

Smithfield City - Lots going on! Ballots for Mayoral and City Council election going out next week - please vote! Had a good meeting with candidates last night at the Lion’s Lodge. New light on Main Street will be functional soon - also look for a median to go up on that stretch of Main Street in the next year. Thinking about Health Days for next year - will look at dates. Temple making progress - the Church has met with the city and still developing plans - planned spire of 210 feet may need further FAA approval. RV Park proposal was pulled from council agenda but continue to let your elected officials know how you feel. Continue to shop in Smithfield so that sales tax stays with the city.

Smithfield Lion’s Lodge - Happy to host Meet the Candidate. Will be sending eyeglasses to those in need. Hosting Senior Ball on Saturday. Also will have an open house for the community - always looking for new members.

Alpine Cleaning and Restoration - Use local companies - advocate for yourself with your insurance companies.
