Business Introductions and Reviews
Smithfield Firehouse - Getting new signage. Staying busy. Thanks to the community for your support.
Birch Creek Elementary - Things are going well. Looking forward to the Golf Tournament.
Summit Elementary - Thanks to everyone for your support. Parent Teacher Conferences are going on now. Looking forward to celebrating at the end of the year.
Sunrise Elementary - Ditto to the other elementary schools!
Farmers Insurance - Thanks to everyone for your support. Staying very busy. If you need insurance let them know - they have very competitive rates.
Smithfield Rec Center - Health Days have been moved to June 1st - 5th. A few changes - Looking for businesses to help pull floats, pancake breakfast needs a new sponsor, booth packets are available, sponsorship packages are available with tons of options. Also, youth sports are looking for jersey sponsors. This is a great opportunity to get your logo out in the community.
Cache Valley Bank - Staying busy with PPP and helping small businesses weather the pandemic. Excited to see businesses opening up fully soon.
Smithfield Blue Sox - Looking for sponsors - advertising packages from $50 for a ⅙ page ad in program to full banners at ballpark. Anticipate starting on time - league is very strong and Blue Sox are leaders in the league. Grateful for local partnerships - city, Lions Club, local businesses.
Larsen’s Mercantile and Pantry - Now open on 100 East just behind Lee’s. Hours are 10-7. Offering fresh meals (take and bake in multiple sizes), a huge variety of bakery goods and vendor booths to sell many homemade items. They take special orders, offer delivery and curbside pickup.
Preston Watts - They are busy! Don’t crash your car because they are running a couple of weeks out.
Smithfield City - The word is growth! Over 400 homes are being built west of Birch Creek Elementary and growth is also happening in the north and south east side of the city.
Lions Club - Excited for Blue Sox season - they sell concessions as their main fundraiser. Look for their Spaghetti Dinner on April 8th (it will be a drive thru this year). Looking for new members. Continue to help with needs of glasses.
Easy Breezy Duct Cleaning - Offer duct cleaning and sanitizing. Looking to partner with those who work in the home industry. Also can offer help to those who are struggling but need cleaning.
McDonalds - New chicken sandwiches are out - crispy, spicy or deluxe. Really proud of this product. Still waiting for permission from corporate to open dining room.
Alpine Cleaning and Restoration - Leader in fire, water, wind and sewer damage. Tip - test your hoses before you turn water on fully to avoid floods due to water line breaks.
Chamber Update
Our President Elect is Bill Petersen. He will be working with Wayne this year and take over next year.
Even though Health Days has moved to June, we will keep the golf tournament on May 5th to facilitate school involvement. Our goal is to raise $5000 for each elementary school. We are looking for teams, raffle prizes and hole sponsors.
The Easter Egg Hunt is on! Starts at 9:00 am on April 3rd - over by 9:05 :). We need final counts on what you would like to do (booths, eggs, etc) by March 15th. Set up will be at 8 am. Masks will be required.
If you would like a newspaper ad in the April newsletter, let Nicole know by March 15th.
