Business Reviews

Lee’s Marketplace - Gearing up for a big case lot sale starting next week - September 8th. Supply looks good now so come in and grab some good deals.

Cache Valley Bank - Been active with helping distribute PPP loans - Cache Valley Bank’s 20 Utah locations have helped facilitate over $1 Billion dollars in these loans to help local businesses. Interest rates are low - 2.5% for a 30 year mortgage and 2.125 for a 15 year mortgage. New branch by Cache Valley Mall will be open in a few weeks.

State Farm Insurance - Building a new office by the Smithfield City Offices and are temporarily in with Sunrise Engineering. Have seen three rate decreases for his customers recently so now is a good time to check out their insurance.

Zions Bank - Also helping with PPP loans. With the low rates, it is a good time to borrow money. Lobby is open with masks.

TNT Engraving - Home based business in Smithfield that does custom engraving - personalized water bottles, plaques, signage. Give them a call.

Farmer’s Insurance - September is Life Insurance Awareness month. It is a good time to review your coverage. Call them for a quote.

Preston Watts - New gate and other renovations to their location. They also have upgraded to a new windshield calibration tool to save your money and time for your windshield replacement.

Family Place - Celebrating their 38th Anniversary! New event on September 12th. Looking for Super Hero sponsors. Tickets are $10. Planning some fun outdoor events and a trampoline show.

McDonald’s - Adding Spicy Chicken Nuggets next week! Other new products include Chips Ahoy McFlurry, Blueberry Muffin, Apple Fritter and Cinnamon Roll. Were able to distribute over 80,000 pounds of yogurts to the food bank and schools (with help from Schreiber’s).

Schreiber Foods - Thanks to all for supporting the Family Place golf tournament. Expanding and always hiring. Eat more cheese and yogurt!

Summit Elementary - Teacher and staff are happy to be back in school. Great community response to changes that were made to the school day to accommodate COVID precautions.

Sunrise Elementary - Ditto to Summit’s report. Teachers are working hard. Thanks to the Chamber for your support.

Firehouse Pizzeria - Remodeled during closure in March - new booths, tile and lots of cleaning and paint. Dining room is now open with 50% capacity. Thanks to the Chamber and community for supporting them during pandemic.

Lion’s Club - Busy summer! Concessions during Blue Sox season went great and congrats to them for winning the NUL Championship. Look for information about their next blood drive coming up this month. Must preregister online. Always looking for new members - meeting next week.

Sky View High School - Thanks so much for the support! Students are doing great! Families are under stress so it is really important for us to do all we can to protect families and keep kids in school.

Alpine Cleaning and Restoration - New carpet manager - good time to get carpets cleaned since they are your home’s biggest filter. Chamber members get 25% off. Also can help with damage due to fire, mold, water - free evaluations are available.

Chamber Updates

Welcome to TNT Engraving! We are happy to have you join us!

Ad deadline for October newsletter is September 15th. Ads are $100. Call Nicole if you would like an ad.

Trick or Treat Street has been cancelled. The Rec Center will be in touch if they are able to reschedule with accommodations.

Night of Giving is still on! Planning to have a walk thru auction/raffle with a virtual component to accommodate those who aren’t comfortable coming in person. Will have dessert prepackaged to take home; maybe a hot chocolate bar. If anyone has any suggestions for how to make it great, please let us know. We need Chamber support! Also, Rigo is intent on outbidding Preston Watts so you won’t want to miss that!
