Business Reviews

Wayne Moore (Alpine Cleaning and Restoration) - We help with fire, water, wind, mold and sewer damage. It’s getting cold so be sure and winterize - remove hoses from outside spigots and winterize any water sources.

Bart Caley (Smithfield City) - Lots of new development! Arby’s and a new car wash on the south end. Happy to have Discount Tire open. Roolee had a groundbreaking for their new headquarters. Pickleball courts are still under development. Also, there is a municipal election this fall - check the Herald Journal for an election guide. Register to vote!

Phil Morris (Sky View High School) - Thanks to everyone for all their support. Fall sports are doing well - some are at state starting this week.

Shawn Didericksen (Discount Tire) - Time to winterize your cars. Snow tires are available soon. Looking to hire a couple of people who are interested in learning the industry - must be 18 and over.

Deon Hunsaker (Smithfield Lion’s Club) - Had a successful blood drive; looking to have another one in March. Also looking for new members. Ready for NIght of Giving!

Pete Krusi (Lee’s Marketplace) - Bring your kids on Halloween from 2-5 pm. Trick or treat around the store and go through their Ultimate Spook Alley.

Bill Petersen (McDonald’s) - The McRib will be back next week! Also look for Doughnut Sticks and new spicy chicken BBQ sauce. Always looking to hire great people.

Stephanie Evans (Larry’s Pharmacy) - It’s flu shot time! Also, get your shingles vaccination if you are 65 and older.

Domani Jardine (Eagle’s Landing) - New business offering wedding, reunion and meeting venues. Will hold an open house on October 26th. Check out their website at eagleslanding.events.

Casey Crosby (Ace Hardware) - Winterize! Filters on sale now.

Tom Gibbons (Tom Gibbons CPA) - Need tax help? Give him a call.

Josh Watts (Preston Watts Collision and Glass) - Offer $100 off your deductible for a windshield replacement. Please be careful - seeing lots of accidents lately.

Derek Beer (Sunrise Elementary) - Their PTA Fundraiser was recently completed - thanks to those who sponsored and participated. Looking forward to Parent Teacher Conferences. Lots of growth.

Richard Varela (Smithfield Recreation) - Fall basketball starts soon. Flag football in session now. Looking forward to Turkey Trot on November 23rd - if you want to put anything in a race bag let him know (they expect 450 registered runners). Also looking forward to the Pickleball Courts being open - looking to start a league with indoor courts as well. Also, look for a new, indoor event in January. Hoping to get people involved as a starter event on an indoor track. Finally, if you are interested in sponsorships for events or on banners at fields, let him know.

Amber Lee (Family Place) - All funding is complete for a fence at the Smithfield location. Now looking to fund an outdoor playground.

Grace Williams (Farmer’s Insurance) - If you get into an accident, call your agent first. They can make sure that you have everything covered. Keep your ID card in your car. Also, if you have trailers or ATV’s that you don’t use in the winter, they might be able to help with storage options to save money.
