AGENDA NOTES

The meeting opened at 12:05 as President Richard Varela welcomed Chamber Members. Thanks to Stonefire for hosting our meeting today.

Business Reviews

Birch Creek Elementary (Trudy Wilson) - Super busy - big boundary shuffles with new school openings for next year Teachers are getting their new assignments and looking forward to changes.

Family Place (Alyssa Warner) - Prince and Princess party this Saturday at Castle Manor. They have a few tickets still available.

Alpine Cleaning and Restoration (Wayne Moore) - They help mitigate fire, wind, mold, water damage. They offer free evaluations and are happy to consult with anyone who needs advice.

Healthy Bites Brigade (Anna Lisa Davidson) - Excited to be part of the Chamber.

Second Act Literacy Foundation (Steve Cook) - Work with immigrants and refugees to learn English and get GED’s.

Floor Coverings International (Dylan and Ashley Hall) - they have a new model for ordering floor coverings - they have a mobile location with samples.

Achievement Realty (Jim and Kim Tippetts) - Work with real estate, mainly in Bear Lake. Give them a call with any questions.

Sandstone Psychology (Dan Fast) - Mental health clinic located in Hyde Park. Serving teens, families, individuals. They do screenings for businesses or clientele. They have immediate openings so give them a call.

Smithfield Chiropractic (Jeremy Gibbons)- lots of business and openings for new businesses. Come see him.

USU Credit (Sam Barfuss) - offering credit card balance transfer - 6 months no interest. Also home interest rates are coming down; they can help you save money on interest if you want to check out refinance options.

Backbone Planning (Jace Cox) - Financial Advising firm. Offering chamber members a chance to join the Chamber 401K plan. Businesses are joining and giving the option to their employees; individual chamber members can join as well.

Stapley Accounting and Advisory (Stacy Dority)- If you have overtime pay, it might affect your taxes. They are accepting new clients so let them know.

Cache Valley Light and Sound (Paul Jenkins) - does DJ events throughout the valley. Also works with teenagers with disabilities transition to jobs and life past high school.

Yardmaster Services (Trish Ybarrando) - yard care, sprinklers, pest control services. Looking forward to spring.

Sunrise Elementary (Shellie Healy) - Busy busy busy. Plugging away.

Cache Refugee and Immigrant Connection (Lizette Villegas) - They have a new director -Karina Brown. They are partnering with America 250 to host a Gallery Walk with local artist submissions on February 19th at the Youth Center.

Core Accounting, Tax, and Advisory (Isabel Rodriguez) - they help with payroll and helping businesses make their payrolls.

Smithfield Lions Club (Deon Hunsaker) - Blood Drive on Monday, February 16th from 1:00 pm - 7:00 pm. Time slots are still available.

Zions Bank (Tori Wanner) - check your email for their offers and specials this month.

Smithfield City (John Engler, Jay Downs, Mayor Aaron Rudie) - Any questions or requests - Health Days is the first week of May, including the parade on Saturday May 9th. Contact the city to be added to their city communications. Senior Center remodel is almost complete.

Learning Turtle Preschool (Anita Gerber) - starting registration for next year; they are already 75% full so sign up soon. They are also hiring qualified preschool teachers so send anyone you know who fits this description their way.

Stonefire Pizza (Misty Duncan) - Showing love with a date special - medium sized heart shaped pizza with two sides, drinks and flowers for $

Whole Body Health Care (Zach Manwaring)- sponsoring Smithfield Pageant. Come and support them. March 7th at Sky View High School.

Farmers Insurance (Diana Parker) - You can get all electronics covered - phones, computers, TVs - under one policy. Give them a call for details.

Smithfield Recreation (Richard Varela) - They have a weight room, yoga, fitness classes. Come join them. Registering for a Trail Run in June. Lots of ongoing activities. Check their website for all the details.

Host Huski (Andrew Davis) - They are donating all design work for flyers and apparel for America 250.

Huski Marketing (Matt Veil) - Remember that AI will never replace skill. And voice AI can help save time for your businesses. They can help with integrating AI and your business.

Ask AllTech (Jennifer Anderson) - Good to be back with the Chamber in her new role as business developer for Ask AllTech. They work with the Smithfield City offices and affiliated businesses. They specialize in small and medium size businesses. One tip - backup your data!

Discount Tire - Their Warehouse Sale begins today. The flyer is attached to our email.

Notes

Membership Dues - $100 for a store front and $25 for a home business. Please send Nicole an email or a text when you have paid and she will deliver your Chamber Membership window cling.

The Easter Egg Hunt is Saturday, April 4th. We will need an egg count (how many eggs you would like us to stuff for you) by the end of February. Please let us know ASAP.

The Tri School Golf Tournament is finalized for Wednesday, May 6th. If you are interested in being a hole sponsor please let us know. There is no cost for chamber members.
