Business Reviews
Farmers Insurance (Diana Parker) - Rates are going down so let them help you lower your rates.
Summit Elementary (Amy Bassett) - Love Summit and the community.
Stapley Accounting and Advisory (Terri Stapley) - Tax deadline for extension is October 15th. Make sure you meet that deadline. Also a good time of year for year end advisory services.
Tom Gibbons - Deadlines for tax extensions are this month. You need to make quarterly payments and get all the paperwork in this month.
Alpine Cleaning and Restoration (Wayne Moore) - All the cleanup for fire, sewer, water damage that happens in your home. Working on hail and wind damage from Layton storms last month. They do free evaluations and can work with insurance companies as well. Also start thinking about winterization of your sprinkler systems.
Blue Horizon Grill (Kim Tippetts) - They have a daughter in law (also Kim) working at Stonefire and are looking to staff Stonefire Pizzeria in Smithfield . They are also staffing their Bear Lake business.
Smithfield City (Chris Olsen) - A lot going on with the City. They will be helping with Trick or Treat Street. The City Planning and Community Engagement Committee has been working for a few months. One initiative will be the Utah Main Street program; another will be the USU Vision Project. They will also be looking to spotlight a Business of the Month. Looking forward to spotlighting more businesses.
Sandstone Psychology (Dan Fast) - They offer mental health services that they can customize to your employees and businesses. The change of seasons is a hard time for many people. They do free mental health screeners so keep an eye out for people who might need any mental health assistance.
Lee’s Marketplace (Ryan, Assistant Store Director) - Pete Krusi has retired and Blake Daines has taken over. It is the last week of their Case Lot sale. Also bring your kids trick or treating on the 31st from 11-2.
Backbone Planning (Jace Cox) - Now is a good time to plan for tax, savings and investment goals for 2027. Also if you are interested in investing with the Chamber 401K, let him know.
Preston Watts Collision and Glass (Josh Watts) - Be careful with mobile windshield replacements because newer windshields have to be recalibrated for electronics. Mobile places can’t always do the calibration. Preston Watts works with all insurance companies and will waive $100 deductible on windshield.
Zions Bank (Tori Wanner) - Payments Package is a program that helps you move money for your business. They also have a home equity promo - 4.49% for six months.
Antics Comedy Improv and Connection Hub (Trevor Larsen) - Still doing shows on Friday and every other Saturday. October 23, 24, 30th will be Halloween themed shows that will be more long form events. The Connection Hub website is live - connectionhubcv.com. Check it out for local events; more resources will be added.
USU Credit Union (Trevor Larsen) - With the Fed raising rates, all rates have gone up a bit. They will lower rates on loans as rates go back down. CD rates have gone up as well so it’s a good time to put money in CD’s.
MLB Plumbing and Repair (Lesly Juber) - working with Alpine on a restoration so happy to be able to network with Chamber members.
Smithfield Recreation (Richard Varela) - Take a poster to help advertise Trick or Treat Street or the Turkey Trot. Trick or Treat Street will be at the Rec Center and will be an indoor/outdoor event. They will have music, dance performances, tumbling demonstrations and other fun things. They still have a few doors available if anyone is interested - $85 covers the cost and the door is yours every year.
Discovery Guides (Jack Johnson) - Publish local guides annually. They will be working with a company out of Nauvoo to help put their information with a central source. He is also working with the Main Street USA program and will be publishing that information in the new guide.
Smithfield Lions (Starla Wierman, Terry Wierman) - They had 60 volunteers help process eyeglasses that will go to underdeveloped countries. They also had a Teddy Bear picnic with the Youth Council and they sponsor the local Cub Scout troop - the cub scouts will be having a chocolate sale fundraiser. They are hosting a Blood Drive on October 12th and will host a Veterans Luncheon in November (dates TBD).

Andrew will create an account for each business and email you the instructions on how to update or create your entry. Be assured that our website will be secure and protect you from bots and spam. Look for information on our website to come out via email.
